This oil painting is from a photograph I took at a friend's home in Oklahoma. 

I have started photographing and creating small study-paintings of domestic 

and wild animals that I've encountered around the country.

This photo shows the painting in detail.

The canvas is mounted on a foam-core board and painted. 

After the paint dries, the foam core and canvas are trimmed to fit the frame.

The frame is a brand new wooden frame.
