This oil painting is from a photograph I took in my studio. 

My studio is built in a wooded-area behind my home. 

I am often visited by birds, deer, fox, and other wild creatures. 

I have started photographing and creating small study-paintings of these animals 

as well as other wildlife I encounter around the country.

These photos shows the painting in detail.

The canvas is mounted on a foam-core board and painted. 

After the paint dries, the foam core and canvas are trimmed to fit the frame.

The frame is custom-made from rough cedar and molding, 

and sprayed with blue and black paint. 

The frame is 10-1/4" x 10 -1/4" x 2" and can be hung on the wall, 

or stand upright on a table or shelf.
