This oil painting is from a photograph I took on a back road near Boerne, Texas. 

I have started photographing and creating small study-paintings 

of the wildlife I encounter around the country.

These photos show the painting & frame in detail.

The canvas is mounted on a foam-core board and painted. 

After the paint dries, the foam core and canvas are trimmed to fit the frame.

The frame is an old wooden-mold frame (recycled frame). 

It has been spray painted black with gold spotting 

to give the frame a unique look.
